Patio leading from extension. Patio level with the internal floor of the house enabling the client to transfer easily from the extension onto the patio. Ramp leads off the patio to enable the client to reach his car easily.

Extension completed.
Celibrating the completion of extension and patio. Patio required the removal of 18.5 cubic metres of earth.

Old FENCE
The old fence was 600mm above the ground level once all the builders rubble had been removed in front of it. The rubble pile included old beds, prams, childs toys etc.

New Boundry Fence.
New fence replacing old fence. Concrete panels installed to 600mm high to retain the bank located behind the new fence.

Preparations for a patio
We were called into repair the patio. The paving stones had lifted.
On removing some of the paving stones the cause of the problem was revealed. Namely no base had been put in.
Picture shows the hardcore and tamping machine.
A four inch slab was cast over the hardcore before the slabs were replaced.

We were called in to solve a damp problem.
Solution has been effective with the drains shown carrying away the water that falls onto the porch.
Between the drains and the walls is pea shingle allowing any water that missed the drains to soak away quickly. Shingle terminates below the damp course.

Preparing Floor for a shower
Floor boards removed as they had dry rot. Walls and joists coated with preservative to protect the timbers against dry rot.

Walls and floor lined to prevent moisture entering the fabric of the building.

Wet Room
Wet room with raised toilet for handicaped client. Access to room is through door 920mm wide, for wheel chair use.

Re tiling Roof
Roof being retiled with Rosemary Clay Tiles. The expected life of this retiled roof is 100 years.
The chimney was removed at the same time. Chimey that is on view is the neighbours chimney.
